About Vocal Ensemble
Vocal Ensemble arrangements offered by Heart Wind Music are designed for small vocal ensemble with various instrumental accompaniments. The lead part moves from voice to voice, rather than usually being in the highest voice. Many of these arrangements come from the library of Southern Light, which performed monthly at Unity of Columbia (SC) between 1990 and 2015. These Southern Light arrangements were written for the musicians who were in the band at the time. As volunteers come and go, the scoring changed to fit the vocal ranges and styles, as well as the instrumental abilities, of the band members. Director David Ezell played keyboard, and various other instruments. Anne Ezell did violin, keyboard, and background vocals. Other volunteers over the years have played drums, guitar, bass and piano, in addition to singing. Some musicians prefer to play and sing by ear. Others do best when everything is written out.

Each user of the sheet music available from Heart Wind Music will no doubt work with a unique group of musicians, each with his or her own unique musicianship. That's why Heart Wind Music gives permission for customers to rearrange all selections for personal use. We also offer custom arrangements, if a church or performer would like to have one made.
